Each child who comes to our school is respected as a unique and priceless individual, a gift from the Lord with talents, interests and personality all his or her own. Our first priority is to keep the children safe and to nurture them with an understanding of their value to the Lord and to us as caregivers.
The Programs at The Children's Academy at Covenant are designed to meet the developmental needs of young children ages 2-5. We provide learning experiences that encourage and promote growth for the whole child: social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive development. We welcome children of every race, color, nationality or ethnic origin and provide the same quality programs and opportunities to all of our students.
Our teachers interact with the children as questioners, role models, reflectors, observers and evaluators. Each child will have the opportunity to learn at his/her own pace, developing new skills and exploring new concepts. We desire our teachers and parents to work together to provide the best possible care for the children.
Our staff works to ensure a safe, nurturing, learning atmosphere. In the classroom we provide a combination of planned activities designed to teach developmentally appropriate skill sets as well as enriching activities such as books, charts, puzzles, manipulatives, music and hands-on activities. We guide the children in developing faith in the Lord, love of family, respect for diversity and appreciation for the community. It is our aim to meet each child's individual needs and provide an enriching environment for child care and education.
